An arch is a vertical curved structure that spans an elevated space and may or may not support the weight above it.In modern building construction arch is used as a Decorative structure.It may be constructed by masonry work or moulded by Concrete or plater of paris or by fabricated with framing work of metal or wood and finished by a cladding material.
In decorative sense Arches are classified according to its Design materials used and construction method.
Brick , natural stone , Cement blocks etc are used for masonry arches.
Concrete and plaster of paris is used for molded arches.
